Legal Question in Business Law in Nevada
return used car?
i intended to purchase a car that cost $16000, which included taxes and fees. i put $1000 down, and got quotes for a $15000 loan. the car dealership initially agreed to meet the lowest quote i received from Wells Fargo.
i signed the purchasers agreement, and left the lot with the vehicle.
after driving the car around for a week, the dealership calls to inform me that because the vehicle was slightly older, the criteria for the loan had changed. the interest rate jumps up, and they require more $ down.
the loan officer at the dealership then attempted to deceive me, and told numerous lies. having worked in loans before, i detected his overt deception. when i am inform the loan officer that im comparing his rates to elsewhere, he gets angry and demands the car back.
i've had the vehicle for 1 week, and no longer want to buy from them. am i entitled to my $1000? i paid them in cash.

Re: return used car?
You could probably void the purchase contract on misrepresentation grounds. If you can show that the car was different than outlined on your purchase agreement, you never had a meeting of the minds on the original terms and the contract is voidable.
