Legal Question in Business Law in Nevada
SMALL business investment
my boyfriend invested $200,000.00 into a bar in las vegas. the bar was going into forclosure. the owner and my boyrfiend had a contract he was to recieve 8% of the land and to receive $1900.00 per month according if the bar made money. Also a $10,000 spending allowance $20,000 in a reserve account , hire a bookkeeper and to get monthly reports. Also I was to be hired as a promotional host/bar manager my main duties to improve the gaming revenue. I was to recieve a salary of $4000,00 per month and to bartend any 2 shifts of my chosing. and medical and dental insurance. All of this was written in a contract. The owner has not fullfilled anything on the contract. The bank sent a letter to my boyfriend stating the bar is in forclosure and if he wants to cure the default by April 15 he can. The owner has not made 1 payment to the bank since my boyfriend invested. Today the owner suspended me because he said he needs all the money he can to keep the bar running and he cant afford to pay me. I have not be paid in 5 weeks. The bar makes alot of money and the owner says its his fault and he is sorry. Now he is triing to sell the bar and he said he would try to give back the investment money. What rights does my boyfriend have?
