Legal Question in Business Law in Nevada
what type of contract do I need?
Hello,
If I negotiated an equity stake in a company if they obtain financing through my source (ie. I am a broker that introduced them to a lender and if successful I receive 2.5% equity in the company for my services)
Is that a ''broker agreement''? a ''service agreement''? (certainly not a shareholder agreement)
Could you shed some light on what this type of agreement is called?
thanks a million,
ps. would it make a difference if the company is in Utah instead of Nevada?

Re: what type of contract do I need?
The name of the contract is generally not important. What you are describing is a finders fee and it can be structured in many different ways. Contact a lawyer in your area for specifics.
