Re: locked out of our home, construction defect
You need to get your attorney to work for you . . . or fire him/her and get one who will. We are having a hard time understanding how anyone is able to lock you out of your own property. If you have not closed escrow, it is not yet yours. If the builder is correcting a defect, he is entitled to get to that done to his satisfaction before allowing access (to HIS property) until it is completed. Someone really would need more info to be able to answer your inquiry. Your attorney is the best person to help you, though, and if there is something that can be done, it should be done through your legal counsel.
