Hotel bedbugs- over 20 bites suffered in four nights
I stayed at a Las Vegas hotel on a business trip beginning Sunday night and left Friday morning. On Monday morning I noticed what appeared to be a mosquito bite, which I ignored. The next morning I had a few more bites and by the time I got ready for dinner on Wednesday night I had a collection of bites all over my arms and torso. I mentioned it to someone in my party that night. I planned to say something to management the next morning. Thursday AM I found a bedbug on the wall near my headboard. I drowned it in a cup of water to show management. I called and they sent security to I.D. it as a non-dangerous bug. He didn't know what it was, said it was too big to be a bedbug. After doing research, I found it was a bedbug. I was moved to another room for my last night around noon. At around 7pm I tried to retrieve a fax. I was told there were no messages for me under the new room number. I asked them to check the old number and they said a new guest was staying there. After I moved at noon, they had someone there within 7 hours. I am wondering if they did the same to me. All they offered me was a new room and a dinner at their low end restaurant, no refund or compensation was offered. With over 20 bites now, do I have a case?

Re: Hotel bedbugs- over 20 bites suffered in four nights
You get the bedbug letter (google for it if you are unfamiliar with the term). Bedbugs are a nationwide problem and I sympathize (I live in hotels 75 percent of the time). Unfortunately a Vegas hotel can't tell if you are a real bug victim or just a sore loser. I would post my experience to Flyertalk.com or tripadvisor.com, naming the hotel. And I would appreciate knowing the name of the property myself. If you require medical attention for the bites, get it and then maybe write back.
