Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada
got a call on my cell phone, but the number was blocked. the person left a message about legal action, specifically stating that this will be her 1st of 3 attempts to serve me. She wanted my home or wk address. But she didn't leave a call back number. Instead she left a number that I found out was for PPVC out of California. This is for an old debt on a credit card now totallying $1700. They will not accept any settlement or payment plan. She said I have 5 days and after that if I can't pay I should go to court and hopefully they will give me a payment plan. Something doesn't seem right....

I would need more information and an actual question to go much further than to say...
If they are actually trying to serve you with Court Process, you should accept it, tell her to mail it or email it, because getting a default is just silly in most cases.
If they are not actually suing you and just threatening suit, they better be ready, willing and able to actually sue you or they have violated the law. What, by the way, is a PPVC out of California. It sounds like either a corporation or a length of plastic pipe.
