Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

Car repossession

My mother's car was repossessed today. She became disabled this past January and was later awarded full Social Security Disability benefits. I sent a copy to the bank and we have a claim for disability insurance on the loan, but that company is dragging its feet processing it. The bank didn't want to wait. What recourse do we have? Can they take her car like this?

Re: Car repossession

If there is a default, they can take the car. If you can't work it out with them, your mother would need to file a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy to get the car back.
