Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada
Collect Debt from Ex-Husband
My Ex-husband was court ordered to pay me a settlement. He does not work, but I believe that he collects workman's compensation in Nevada. I sent garnishment papers to the sheriff's department and they were returned stating that I had to domesticate the garnishment. How do I do that?

See Nevada Statutes 17.330 through 17.400. This lays out the documents you need to file and serve and in what order.

There is a process to enforce a judgment from another State in Nevada. If you want legal assistance with this you may want to contact the Nevada Bar Association for referral to an attorney.
