Credit letter from law firm
Hello,
I received a letter from a law firm represententing a debt from a credit card company on the intention of collecting. If I did not pay or was unwilling to can they request a lien or wage garnishment in the state of Nevada where I reside or worK?

The law firm can cause the imposition of a lien, or cause a wage garnishment to issue if, and only if, its creditor client prevails in a legal action in which you receive notice and are given an opportunity to defend. Nevada law provides defenses to credit card claims.
