Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

foreign judgment

How do I apply Nevada's statute NRS 17.390, that allows 'action' to be enforced, instead of giving notice to the debtor that I have filed foreign judgment. My judgment is for possession of vehicle and I dont want to give debtor any notice that Im in the process of domesticating the judgment. Nevada's Uniform Act for Foreign Judment requires notice of filing to debtor, except the statute NRS 17.390 states action from judgment creditor can occur without adhering to the statutes that say you must give notice. What are the specific 'actions' that I can take.

Re: foreign judgment

You would have to file a new lawsuit in Nevada. Then you could file for a pre-judgment writ of attachment without notice and the judge would grant it based upon the foreign judgment.
