Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

Judgements

I am a truck broker (the middle man between the shipper and the trucker) I set up the hauls and bill the shipper than turn around and pay the carrier, less 10%.

My shipper owes me $53,000 in freight bills. Their bank is handling all the cash flow. They have not closed the doors, but are trying to reopen.(this will never happen). My question is:: can i get a judgement aginst them without an attorny. (more money after bad)?? I have done everything possible to collect this money, and nothing. I am out $53.000 dollars, because I had to pay the trucks. Can you help me?? Thanks,

Re: Judgements

If your company is a corporation, you must appear in court though a licensed attorney in Nevada. If the money is owed to you individually, you may proceed without an attorney. Presumably, you got yourself into this mess; do you think you are able to get yourself out? Some commercial collection attorneys work on a contingent fee basis. I have seen some freight broker agreements require submission of disputes to the ICC before any court action is allowed. Good luck in your pursuit of this claim.
