Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

Don't lend to a friend!

I have lent money to a friend on several occasions over almost 3 years.

The amount now totals over $22,500.

Due to our friendship ending, and the probability of losing touch I want the money repaid.

I have already tried to talk to her about it, but she is reluctant to discuss it.

I would continue to try to get an agreement without resorting to legal means if it were not for the fact that I may soon have to return to England.

What legal course of action is open to me, and how should I proceed?

Re: Don't lend to a friend!

Legal action appears indicated, if only to obtain a judgment, which still might not be collectable. If you move from Nevada, the defendant may require a nonresident cost bond from you to proceed with your suit. You may avoid this by filing now.
