Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada
My mother age 82 just blew the enging on her car that she still owes $2300.00 on. She has made 52 payment of $123.00 each already. The car is a 2005 Kia Rio. If she stop making payments to Wells Fargo can they go after her social security for the balance owing?

They can't go after here Soc. Sec. but they may be able to, if they want to - attach her bank account where the Soc. Sec. check is deposited. In other words the Soc. Sec. itself is not attachable, but the bank account from the proceeds of the check might be.
