Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

recieved summons for debt, how do I stall to raise money?

I recieved summons from sheriff for debt, it may be valid but need time to raise funds without incurring more legal fees, how? Also summons states to contact court on line 1 and contact attorney on line 4, who do I contact? How much time will responding buy me and how much more legal fees will be incured? Called attorney they want half in five days other half in ten more days.

You need to file an answer and affirmative defenses, this can buy you time. There may be motions you may consider, motion to strike or others.

I do not give legal advice as to specific litigation through this site, I only provide general legal information and also make myself available for people to contact me if I am able to represent them. I also do not believe it would be proper to advise someone how to "stall" litigation, but you can certainly try to negotiate, which seems to be what you are doing.
