Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

I signed a contract with a midwife in regards to payment for prenatal care, post natal care and the delievery of my child. She did not complete all prenatal visits, post natal visits and my child was delievered by another doctor.

However i signed a contract with this Midwife at the beginning of my care with her stating that i would pay her regardless. (I know stupid right).

I do not feel that i should have to pay because i have had to pay someone else to complete the care that she did not.

The only thing that i can see in the contract that i signed that might get me out of it is that there is a clause that states "total fees must be paid by date listed above or this contract is null and void and our services as birth attendents will not be rendered."

There is no date written in the space that is referenced in this clause on the contract. So does that mean that the contract is null and void or that I have an unlimited amount of time to repay her?

Any attorney would, of course, have to look at the contract, but if she breached the agreement, without you breaching the agreement, that would warrant not paying.
