Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
affidavits
Is notary public required to verify correct address stated as resident address on a affadavit. realize they have witness sworn in, but aren't they also to confirm a resident address, not just a photo i.d (case being,I received an affadavit signed by law firm, notary, applicant and a witness, witness living address on affadavit does not exist street isn't even in the city of Las vegas! therefore I feel it makes the affadavit an illegal document.

Re: affidavits
The notary should check the picture id, the signature and verify the address with the person signing. However, I don't think they have to investigate the address.
