Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
I was arrested last october in las vegas, nv for misdemeanor battery/dv for arguing in public. I was bailed out but 3 months later received a letter from the district attorneys office stating that they returned bail and were not filing charges at this time. How long do they have to file charges against me? And if they don't, how long until I can seal the arrest?

they have up to one year from the date of arrest to file charges against you(if they chanege their mind). You can have your record sealed one year from the date of the arrest. You will need to obtain a copy of your "SCOPE" from las vegas metro police records and attahc the SCOPE to your petition to seal your record.
