Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
regarding bounced check in Las Vegas,
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone can help me figure out how to resolve an issue for a Bad Check written about 2 years ago. I now have an arrest warrant for this check, it is my first time for something like this, and want to resolve it as easily as possible. I no longer live in Nevada and am unable to take a trip out there any time soon. I have the amount of the check and would like to pay it off. Can this be done? I know that I have an arrest warrant for this now and was wondering if there was any way other than traveling to las vegas and turning myself in that I can take care of this. Either by paying the amount in full or having a change of venue or something like that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You for your time.

Re: regarding bounced check in Las Vegas,
You can hire an attorney to file a motion to quash the warrant, waive your appearance and arrange with the Bad Check Unit of the District Attorney's office to pay off the check and then get a dismissal.
Re: regarding bounced check in Las Vegas,
Thank you for your inquiry.
In order to clear up the warrant you would need a Las Vegas attorney to file a Motion to Quash your bench warrant and get the matter placed back on calendar.
Once your warrant has been quashed you would be able to arrange for restitution of the bad check through the District Attorney's office. Upon full payment of the amount in dispute your attorney would then appear for a formal dismissal of the check.
My office handles criminal matters such as these. I would be willing to handle this matter for you on a flat fee of $750.00.
Contact my office if you'd like to discuss the matter further.

Retain an attorney in Las Vegas. This should be easy enough for a lawyer but too complicated for you to take care of on your own.
