Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
what are my chances of having my grand larceny charge reduced? I am 37 and have no criminal record, and plan to pay back the $740 before my arraignment. And I will have to use a public defender.

Talk with your public defender *before* you repay the money, even if that means you must wait until after you have been arraigned. Paying it back will be (or at least seem to be) an admission that you stole it. The prosecutor will then use that admission against you to prove your guilt. Let your PD tell you whether and how to repay the money in order to avoid this very serious problem, or at least minimize it.
