Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada

Dad's suicide was not stopped by Wife

Hi. My father killed himself last October. He apparently told his wife and stepchild that he was going to do it but they didn't try to stop him at all.

He left a considerable amount of money to his wife, who now refuses to help out his biological children.

It seems to me that she should have tried to stop him from killing himself. Do I have any legal standing?

Re: Dad's suicide was not stopped by Wife

i would need more facts to this case in order to answer your legal questions. if you would like to email me the answers to the following questions, i would then be able to offer more substantial legal assistance and/or representation in this matter:

1) where was the wife when your father actually killed himself? had he made threats long before the actual time he committed suicide or how do you feel the wife could have prevented it?

2) did your father die with or without a will? if he had a will, what are the material portions of it outlining distribution of his assets?

3) are the biological children at issue minors or adults?

4) how long were your dad and his wife married, and what type of separate property holdings did he have before their marriage and/or at the time of his death?

if you can email me the answers to these questions, i can further assist you in these matters. thanks for your question.
