It is difficult to answer without knowing the nature of the evidence against you. Generally speaking, if you are charged in Federal Court, you might have problems. Generally the feds don't file an extortion case unless thay have something solid to go on. (Usually political, organized crime or business fraud cases) In State court an extortion charge is pretty rare. It depend on who the complaining witnesses are and why they contacted Metro and what type of investigation was conducted. It short, its not the charge, its the evidence- bit it requires some investigatio beyond a mere statement.
