Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada

Felony Drug Sales

At the age of 18 I was convicted of sales of a controlled substace (marijauna) in the state of Nevada. I was sentenced to 5 years in the state penetetary. That senteced was suspende for a 4 year probation sentence. My probation was transfered to florida were I was later Violated and I returned to Nevada as instructed by the court. My probation was then transfered to Texas were I now reside. The probation department in Texas did not care if I showed up or not. So I moved from that city to another never completing my probation. I have checked my record and there are no warants for me anywere that can be found I have had several background checks done for employment and entry to goverment facilities and nothing has ever come up. I am now 38 years old and would like to get this situation resolved before it comes around and bites me. What are my options? and could this charege ever be reduced to a midemenor and expunged? By the way this is the only thing I have ever been in trouble with besides a speeding ticket.

Re: Felony Drug Sales

You MIGHT be in the clear. Your best option would be to hire a lawyer to discreetly make inquiries as to the status of the old charge. Whether or not it can be sealed or expunged would be a question for a Nevada lawyer, since it was the originating state.
