Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
Felony to a misdemeanor
When the judge says, ''we will drop your felony to a misdemeanor,'' can one answer on an employment application that they were never charged with a felony?
Not sure how to answer the question ''Have you ever been charged with a felony?'' So I've been putting down ''Yes, I think.''

You have been charges with a felony but not convicted of one. You have to answer yes as the employer can verify what you were charged with.
Re: Felony to a misdemeanor
Yes, you were charged with a felony; so you must answer yes to that question.
It would be smart to petition for a record seal as soon as you are eligible. Once the record seal is granted, you can legally answer that you have never been arrested for or convicted of any crime.
