Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
hearsay
Is it legal for police to arrest a person because they someone used a person's name in connection with an alleged crime that was supposed to happen but the person knew nothing of the event in question. For example someones says John is going to take care of it but John knew nothing about the conversation. Then John is arrested and charged with the crime before it took place.

Re: hearsay
All the police need is probable cause that a crime happened and you did it and then they can arrest you.
