Go to your county courthouse. Ask the Clerkof Courts how to go about a legal name change.It should be something you can do, yourself,for under $100. After you do it, you have tonotify the IRS and Social Security.

Everybody has a commonlaw right to change their name as long as theydon't do so for fraudulent purposes. You can do this by using your newname for everything. Just as many women change their names without acourt order when they get married, you can do the same thing byconsistently using your new name.
