minor child
my 15 year old daughter was recently sexually assaulted. When the detectives received the case she was interviewed, but not with me in her presence..Is this legal?

It is routine for the police to interview the child victim alone because often she is subject to suggestion by the precence of her parents and this could later taint the testimony at trial. Also the parent is sometimes a suspect.
