Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
I was in North Las Vegas and a friend was driving my car when we got pulled over by the cops. Her two younger sisters were in the car with us. The police officers said that we did not use our turn signal, thus the reason why we were pulled over. They asked us to get out of the car and started askin a lot of questions. When they asked for my name and address I gave them my friends name. When they searched my car without a warrant or my permission they found an old ID of mine and then arrested me for OBSTRUCTING PUBLIC OFFICER - CITY ORDINANCE. I was never read my rights either and am now currently out on bond with a court upcomming court appearance. Do I plead guilty or do I have a case against them?

You lied to the police so you do not have a case against them. Although they did not have a right to search your car they did have the right to ask about your identity, especially if you were driving. You could have refused to give it but you chose to say you were someone else. They had a right to charge you with obstruction of justice.
