Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
Petty larceny
I am 19 years old and have just recieved a petty larceny charge from walmart. I live in Nevada. I am wondering what steps to take. I have a clean record and was told that if i contact the prosecutor it could possibly be dismissed. I received it on 5/25/09 so when and how do I contact the prosecutor. I need some definite help.

Re: Petty larceny
I would not contact the prosecutor. Go to the first court date or have an attorney go for you. Let the prosecutor come to you or your attorney first with an offer. Try to get into the diversion program which can result in a dismissal.
