My son was driving my daughter's car and pulled over for no tail light. They asked to search the car, he said yes, they ran K-9 and found nothing. So they bullied my son to search my house, which he said no. They follewed him to my house and came to rhe door. He told them they need a search warrant and the tild him no they didn't. The police walked into my house where my oldest daughter was and she refused them to come in, they pushed her aside and searched the house and found a small pipe in my son's room. They wrote him a ticket and today..Sept. 25, 2008, he went to court and pleaded not guilty, but was put in jail till his trial in Jan. ,09. Three people said no to search the house, but they came in anyway. Do we have any legal rights? My son is sitting in jail untill Jan., 09, for a pipe

His attorney needs to file a motion to suppress this search as in violation of the 4th Amendment. There must have been something else for the Judge to put him in jail. I've never seen someone detained over just drug paraphenalia.
