Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
shoplifting
I was caught shoplifting for merchandise over the amount of 250. . I was arrested and released on my own recog.I have been charged with a felony. This is a first offense and do not have a record. I have never been in any trouble before? what can I expect from the judge? jail time?

Usually these are reduced to misdemeanor petty larceny for first offenders. I would suggest getting an attorney and perhaps he can get you into the diversion program. An attorney can also waive your appearances so you don't have to go to Court.
