Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada
My son was arrested for battery with a deadly weapon for stabbing his roommate. They were drunk and his roommate threatened him with a knife and my son grabbed a knife and stabbed him. This has happened previously with my son being the one sliced by his roommate. What are his chances for a good outcome?

There are many factors that the DA looks at like the seriousness of the injury, previous incidents, intoxication, it certainly does not sound like the DA would drop this. Perhaps if lucky jail time and not prison time. Get your son a competent criminal defense lawyer.
