Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada

Statue Of Limitations - Bench Warrants/ Consumation charge

I had just turned 18 and I was driving from a party when a cop stopped the car I was in. 1 of the 4 other people in the car had a beer in his pocket. The officer took us all outta the car didn't breathalize us just said '' Only 1 beer? Where's the rest, you all must have drank them.'' So I got a ticket and went to court. Pleaded not guity then was talked into pleading no contest and sentenced to 80 hour commuity service or something like that. I never did the community service and missed my court date due to a leg injury that left me pretty gimpy for awhile : /. I'm now 21,three years later, and able to drink. I'm wondering if there's a statue of limitations I can wait for, or do I have to pretty much turn myself in for it to go away? I'm pretty sure I have a bench warrent any infomation would be really helpful ty ^^

Re: Statue Of Limitations - Bench Warrants/ Consumation charge

You need to get an attorney and file a motion to quash the bench warrant. The Statute of Limitations does not apply to warrants only charges.
