Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

I have a 9 yr old son who lives with his mother in Mexico. He is a US citizen. I don't show up as his father in his birth certificate, it's blank for father. How can I get custody of him and bring him to live in NV with me? I assume I have rights because he is my son? I have no idea where to start. Please help.
