If you are paying alimony in the state of Nevada and your ex-spouse becomes engaged and cohabitates with their fianc� do you have to continue to pay alimony? If so, for how long? Thank you.

Only when she re-marries or dies is alimony terminated. You would have to file a motion to modify alimony in all other cases.

Mr. Smith forgot half the answer, yes, it only terminates when she marries but you can petition the court to reduce the alimony to consider that she is now sharing expenses. If he pays half the rent, the judge might reduce it by that amount but would probably reduce it by a lesser amount.
