Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
annulment/bigamy
Many years ago I married a man in CA, and later discovered he was still married when he married me. I kicked him out & haven't seen him in years. I now live in Pahrump NV & want an annulment. Can I get annulled in Las Vegas, or do I have to go to Tonopah, which is much further away? Can I do it myself or do I need a lawyer, & if I need a lawyer, how do I find one? No money, property or kids. I have found him in another state with yet another wife.

You can get an annulment by publication either in Las Vegas or Pahrump. You can do it yourself, use a paralegal or hire an attorney. You do not have to go to Tonopah anymore.
Re: annulment/bigamy
You can get an annulment or divorce in any county in Nevada as long as you are a resident of Nevada. You can always represent yourself in Family Court, however, you have to handle the procedure correctly and you are held to the same standards as a lawyer. If you want to retain a lawyer, you can find a lawyer through a number of sources including through Law Guru, recommendations from friends and family, through the State Bar Referral program, etc.

You can get the forms on the internet from the Clark County Self Help Center or go to the Family Court and pick up the forms in person. If you want it done quickly, hire a lawyer. If you want to re-submit documents many times with corrections, then try it yourself.
