Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
Attorney conflict
My husband is currently in the dealing with his ex wife and her attorney over a custody issue. Her Attorney from the start has not been very cooperative and while in court had attempted to confuse the judge on issues regarding the custody arrangements. Now through a little research I discovered her family law attorney and her criminal law attorney are in the same office and share the same fax machine although they are not listed as associates or any other affliate. My husband did mention the fax number to the family law attorney and when we got home he did change his website to take the number off. I was wondering what type of recourse we can do against these two attorneys. I know there are some ethical issues should I attempt to go through the state bar or should I contact the DA, she has a pending criminal case with the DA. We are very desperate to resolve this issue even her own family does not want her to have contact with her kids, she has 2 other boys, but we do know that if her attorney's are both out of the picture we can proceed without the stress. The criminal case involves her robbing her grandparents so they want to see her in jail and she currently has one of the best criminal attorney's in Las Vegas.

Re: Attorney conflict
I don't believe there are any ethical conflicts between your husband's ex-wife's two attorneys. It is common for attorneys to share office space and even to have a community fax number.
Regarding your husband's custodial dispute I would highly recommend you seek legal representation if you haven't already done so. If the ex-wife's attorney is clouding issues, you need to ensure that you have an attorney to accurately present your positions.
