Thank you for your inquiry.
In Nevada, there are several consequential actions that could take place against you for back child support.
1) The District Attorney in the county in which jurisdiction is held may begin to file a criminal action against you for failure to pay.
2) You are susceptible to receiving a driver's license suspension that typically ranges from 30 days to 6 months.
3) You may be held in contempt of court and sentenced to jail time. A contempt finding typically results in jail time up to 30 days. (This is family law, separate from any criminal action).
Additionally, the Court is able to stick you with interest penalties on back support. I would strongly advise you to consult with an attorney to help you accomplish some sort of payment plan.

I disagree with Mr. Smith. You can get your driver's license and any other license revoked. You can be found in contempt and sentenced to 25 days in jail and then they will bring you to the judge every 25 days to make arrangements for payment.
Finally, the D.A. or attorney general can file a criminal action. The best think to do is work out a payment plan because you can also be required to pay 10% interest and attorney's fees. If you need help, you can email me.

No license and 6 months in jail.
