Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

change of custody

my ex and I have agreed to have my son come live with me permanently. She lives in NV, I live in CA. Retaining an attorney is currently not a financial option. I don't care about receiving child support, but would like to legally change custodial status and get relief from child support payments. What must I do besides hire an attorney?

Re: change of custody

You need to prepare a Stipulation and Order to modify child support and custody and visitation as set forth in the Decree of Divorce or prior custody order. This has to be signed by the Judge.
