Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

Changing his mind on divorce?

My husband filed for divorce when he abducted our child, I now have her back, and he was ordered to pay child support. I am unable to work due to immigration paperwork that I am sorting out now, so I have no income at all coming in except the child support. We have had three hearings so far concerning the divorce, and now the trial is coming up. He knows that I am going for alimony and he says he is going to drop the divorce case, and if I want to persue it, I have to come up with the money. He knows this is impossible considering my circumstances, can he do this now that it has come this far?

Re: Changing his mind on divorce?

Do you or did you have a lawyer at any time in this proceeding?

Was there any counterclaim filed to his complaint?

If not, he can dismiss, unless you move to file a counterclaim now.
