how long do i have to wait till i can file for abandonment?

Six months of non support is grounds for termination of parental rights.

Good afternoon.

If you're spouse moves away and goes 6 months without providing any financial support you may file a petition with the Family Court to dissolve their parental rights.

There are certain procedures you have to follow as far as attempting to provide your spouse notice amongst other things.
