Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

child custody and visitation

I have an existing court order

regarding child custody and visitation.

my daughter is coming

home and repeating things that her

father and grandmother are saying

things like they hate my mommy or

that they say that they don't care

what i say. The grandmother sees

my daughter when she goes to see

her father and she voluntarily shares

in the duties of dropping off. Recently

it has become hard to communicate

with either of them The father will

not call me back and the

grandmother is the only one to drop

off now. When I ask questions

regarding my daughter like when was

the last time she ate she tells me

that I don't need to ask her that that

they feed her. When I try to talk to

her she gets an attitude and walks

off. She also keeps threatening to

take me to court to get grandparents

rights and to have drop offs go

through a third party. The question I

have is in the court order it state

that the parents agree that the

responsibilities for providing

transportation shall be assumed by

both parents. Does this mean that I

have the right to only drop off to the

father ( the parent) of my child and

not the grandmother since she is

causing problems and has no r

Re: child custody and visitation

It sounds as if you and your ex might benefit from having a Parenting Coordinator appointed. A Parenting Coordinator can address the concerns you mention and can make some quasi judicial rulings. In order to have a Parenting Coordinator appointed you can see if your ex will agree to a Parenting Coordintor and the appointment would be by Stipulation and Order. Alternately, you would bring a motion expressing your concerns and ask the court to address those concerns plus appoint a Parenting Coordinator to address future issues.
