how old must a child be to decide which parent to live with

There is no set age in Nevada, however usually by age 13, the court will inquire about their wishes. One of the reasons there is no set age is that you could have a 9 yr. old girl who might be very mature and you could have a 12 yr. old boy that is very immature. Children mature, based upon gender, at different ages and at different levels.

In addition, the court doesn't like to put the child in the position of having to choose. These are adult decisions. A child will normally want to live with both parents.
