Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

Child files false police report

I have a minor child. On the way to school he said that he got ''jumped'' by an older man. Basically knocking him off his bike, and grabbing him. In the process my child, punched the man in the nose. The blood from the man was on my childs face and hands. At school he file a police report. Now, after a follow up with police, he said he made it up. First I don't believe he made it up due to the blood (they said it was Halloween blood) . Second it's not in his nature to do so. What, if anything, can happen to him if they deem this a false report?

Re: Child files false police report

He would probably have to go to Juvenile Court and be counseled by a probation officer if he does not have a juvenile record. Otherwise he would go to court for the delinquent act of filing a false police report.
