child guardianship

my daughter and her boyfriend were aressted in california for 3 felonies drug charges , they were living in the boyfriends parents home and they knew this was going on, anyways when my daughter and boyfriend were arrested they called me and told me to pick up my 9 month old grandaughter, i live in nevada and they were living here with my grandaughter until she was 3 months old then have been in calif, fro 5 months , the parents of the boyfriend are trying to take the baby from me , what can they do?

You need to get a court order for guardianship to prevent them from taking your granddaughter. The Court may apply where she has lived the last six months for jurisdictional purposes but you should win since, at the very least, even if they used drugs in Nevada, they were not arrested in Nevada.

Additionally, I am also licensed in California so I could fight the paternal parents in either state.
