child support

my friend has a son by a man that is leaving the state but will sign an agreement to pay child support and other child related bills such as medical expenses. what is the best way to handle the paper work?

This needs to be in the form of a Stipulation and Order signed by a Judge to be valid. It would be necessary to file a Petition For Custody and Support and then the Stipulation. Otherwise the contract may be invalid if only signed by the parents and not approved by a Judge.
