Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
My children's father will not send my a insurance card. He is required by court order to cover our children on his health insurance and pay 1/2 of all medical bills. For eight years I have asked him for a card and he ignores my request. I have called the insurance company and child support services and they both tell me that he must send them to me. What can I do to remedy this situation?

You have options. First, if there is insurance, and you have the name of the company, they might be willing to simply send you the cards if the kids are covered. It is worth asking.
If not, you first tell the dad (in writing) that he is required to supply the cards, referencing the Decree terms. Keep a copy of the letter. Give him a deadline -- ten days or so, and if he does not produce them, file a motion, using the letter as an exhibit, detailing your request, his refusal, any financial consequences and damages, and asking that he compensate you fully, and pay any attorney's fees incurred.
