Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

My childs father wants to sign over his rights to me so he has no legal rights to her. Paternity has not been established so is this needed?

Depends on your objectives.

If you want to ensure that he will not at a later date assert custodial rights, then a relinquishment will accomplish that. It sill not, as he probably thinks it will, insulate him from a claim for child support. Only a court-ordered termination of parental rights, pretty much never granted at the request of the obligor parent, would accomplish that. For details, see:
