Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

co-habitation

Divorced male for 5 yrs. X wife living with me for last 3 yrs raising our 16 yr old. I have paid all the bills, paid her taxes, presently putting her through school. all property and investments in my name only. I have never stated in public that I was going to re-marry her. She is stating that she is entitled to half of everything. I have looked at the Lee Marvin case and checked with the Nevada laws but they seem to be somewhat vague. I would like to get a statement or letter to present to her stating some clear guidelines. I thought I would start with law guru before hiring a lawyer. Thank You

Re: co-habitation

You might as well be married. You won't have to pay alimony but there will be an implied joint venture that everything is quasi-community property. Nevada is not a title state and since you were a community before it will be presumed that the community continued without the paper marriage.
