Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

contempt for child custody order

I have joint legal and physical custody. I went to pick up my daughter and her mother said no claiming our daughter was sick and I wasn't taking care of her. Police came and she gave them the same answer. I have the event # and will pursue in court. Similar things have happened in the past but this is enough. My questions is, what is the end game if I take this to court?

Re: contempt for child custody order

It is up to the Judge. If she had reasonable grounds probably nothing will happen but an admonition to not unilaterally do things like that. If she was unreasonable then the Court could award you compensatory time, make your ex pay your attorney's fees or sanction your ex in some way. If you have documentation of other incidents it is worth pursuing, otherwise I would start my paper trail
