Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
Countersueing for court fees
If I am being sued for the custody of my child by her father, can I countersue for the court and attourney fees? The money used for those fees was going to go to buying a home for her and I. She is two years old and He has plaid a minimum level of signifugance in her life. He and his family requested an abortion during the pregnancy aswell. Now after two years they are requesting this and they have said it is mostly just to protect the father from any addtional child support not because he really wants to have time with his daughter. I was willing to settle this out of court without attorneys but I was blind sided by this and it was never even requested until this time. I also never requested any additional child support and had not planned on it.

Re: Countersueing for court fees
You don't countersue for attorney's fees. You can request attorney's fees in defending yourself and it is up to the judge to give them to you. He will look at the disparity in income as reflected in your respective affidavits of financial conditions.
